Metacrawler
The latest in searching the Internet, this site runs a single search trough multiple search engines and collates the results. Seaching is by keyword or phrase, and can be "strong" or "loose"

Netscape's Net Search
Probably the most popular search page on the Internet, over 20 different search engines are available. The pages defaults you to one of five engines (Excite, Yahoo, Infoseek, Lycos and Magellan), but allows you to select any one of the 20+.

The Internet Sleuth
A searchable index of over 900 Internet databases on a wide variety of subjects.

Public Accessible Mailing Lists
Large index of "listserve" format discussion lists, indexed by list name and subject. Some entries include a WWW archives, FAQ or related site if available.

Tile.net
Index of general Internet resources including discussion lists, newsgroups, ftp sites and computer hardware/software vendors.

NewsletterAccess
A directory of over 5,000 trade, business, consumer and other newsletters. Does not contain text, but does offer bibliographic and subscription information.

Liszt- search by keywords and phrases, searches over 66,000 mailing lists. Allows you to join from the page.

The LISTSERVE list reference - search by keyword, allows you to limit by number of subscribers, country, etc.
Interest Groups Finder- keyword searching for both mailing lists and Usenet groups in one search.
List of Lists - (tile.net/listserve) - searches for both mailing lists and Usenet groups, but in separate searches

Tradepub
Internet subscription service for professional trade publications. It has free publications and online publications as well as access to paid publications.
